About
Welcome to the 810 Grant McConachie Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron! Since our establishment on October 1, 1971, we have been dedicated to creating a supportive environment where youth can explore the exciting world of aviation. Our squadron focuses on developing leadership, teamwork, and discipline through engaging programs and initiatives. Join us as we inspire the next generation of leaders and aviators while fostering a strong sense of community among our cadets.

What Is The Air Cadet Program?
Welcome to the Royal Canadian Air Cadets! Our program, sponsored by the Department of National Defense and the Air Cadet League of Canada, is designed for young Canadians aged 12-18. Here, cadets engage in challenging and rewarding activities that foster teamwork, leadership, and citizenship. Join us in shaping well-rounded individuals who are motivated to excel physical fitness, academics, and community service, preparing them to become tomorrow's leaders!

The three aims of the air cadet program are to:
-
Develop in youth the attributes of good citizenship and leadership
-
Promote physical fitness
-
Stimulate an interest in the air element of the Canadian Forces

Join us and discover the potential within you!

When Does The Squadron Meet?
Our training year runs from September to June, with mandatory training nights every Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 9:15.
In addition to our core training, we offer a variety of optional activities throughout the week including band, sports drill team, flag party, and aviation ground school.
We encourage all cadets to participate in as many activities as possible to enhance experience and skills!
What Are The Costs?
It costs at least $1700.00 per cadet to run the program.
There is no cost associated with joining. The uniforms and basic training are funded by the Department of National Defense. Additional activities are funded by the Air Cadet League of Canada, and our sponsoring committee “Guardians of 810 Air Cadet Squadron Society”.
Since you incur no costs, we must fundraise to pay for our activities.
Cadets and their families are expected to participate in fundraising to support activities.
